About AwardScale
AwardScale is an independent Australian pay-reference utility published by Inventum. It takes the official Fair Work Commission Modern Awards Pay Database and turns it into clean, dated, per-classification lookups, so you can find one number without wading through a long pay guide.
AwardScale is not affiliated with the Fair Work Commission, the Fair Work Ombudsman, any union, or any employer. We are an independent publisher. We do not represent any of those bodies, and nothing here should be read as coming from them.
The idea is simple. One place to see the published legal minimum for your situation, by award, classification, casual status and age, with the penalty and overtime rates already worked out. Instead of reading a base rate and guessing what a weekend shift or a casual loading adds, you see the figure that applies, laid out plainly.
The national minimum wage sets the floor beneath the award system: $1,004.90 a week, or $26.44 an hour, from 1 July 2026. Most workers are covered by a modern award that sits above that floor, and those award rates are what AwardScale renders for each classification.
Every figure carries the date it took effect, and every figure traces back to the official database. If a number here ever looks wrong, we would rather hear about it than leave it standing.
