Editorial policy

Figures on AwardScale come only from the official Fair Work Commission dataset. We do not publish user-submitted, crowd-sourced, or self-reported salaries, and we do not blend official rates with anyone's estimate of what a job pays.

Every rate is shown with the date it took effect, so you always know which year's figures you are looking at. When rates change, the effective dates change with them.

Corrections are logged. When we amend a figure, we record what changed and why, and we re-check it against the official source before it goes back up.

The published figures here are a reference, not the last word. Where a modern award or an enterprise agreement says something different from a figure shown on AwardScale, that instrument prevails.
