Sources and how the rates are checked

AwardScale's award rates come from the Fair Work Commission's Modern Awards Pay Database. Where the database has no weekend rows for an award, the percentages come from the award's own clauses, listed on the award's penalty page. Last year's rates come from the Commission's previous database export. The tables below list each source, the date it applies from, and how each award was last checked.

Last check

Every award was last checked on 24 September 2026: each minimum weekly rate against the consolidated award text, and each published hourly, casual, penalty and overtime figure against the Fair Work Ombudsman pay guide where the guide in force is current and prints rates on the same basis. On that day the Commission’s pay database export for the current year could not be used for the check, because its files carried rows published for another year, so the check relied on the award text and the pay guides.
