Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Award penalty rates 2026
Saturday, Sunday, public holiday and evening rates for every classification in the Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Award (MA000025), from 1 July 2026.
In electrical contracting, higher rates generally apply to overtime worked beyond the standard hours, together with weekend and public holiday work. Early starts, late finishes and call-backs outside the normal working day are also commonly paid at a higher rate.
