Vehicle Repair, Services and Retail Award penalty rates 2026

Saturday, Sunday, public holiday and evening rates for every classification in the Vehicle Repair, Services and Retail Award (MA000089), from 1 July 2026.

Higher penalty rates generally apply to work at the weekend and on public holidays, and to overtime worked beyond the ordinary hours. Saturday afternoon, Sunday and public holiday shifts are the times most likely to be paid at a higher rate.
